DESCRIPTION
This villa is a true haven of peace, five minutes away from the city centre of Cannes. Surrounded by trees (cypress, olive trees, pines, laurels), this house offers an amazing quality of life with its lovely mosaic pool, its large terraces on both levels, its six bedrooms, and five bathrooms that offer full comfort for everyone.
You enter the house through the second floor. There, you will find the bright living and dining room, with a classical and elegant decoration. The French windows open up on the continuous balcony overlooking Cannes and the surrounding hills. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, giving onto the outdoors, and a first bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. An indoors staircase serves the lower levels and a broad stone staircase allows you to have direct access to the large terrace on the first floor and to the pool.
Four double bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a shower room are located on the first floor. Many doors allow you to come and go as you like through the different rooms and have access to the continuous balcony. It is the ideal place for large families; everyone can go at his or her own pace! On this level, you will also find the cut stone terrace, a very pleasant living area to have lunch under the sun or play table tennis. At garden level, under the terrace, you will find an outdoors kitchen, extremely useful for lunches by the pool: the table and the gas barbecue are very convivial. There also is a bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with toilets. On the other side, shaded by the house, is a charming outdoors sitting area surrounded by an exposed stone wall on which bougainvillea and jasmine climb: an idyllic aromatic setting for long evenings!
And last but not least: air conditioning, a 17-meter long pool, deckchairs, an LCD television, a Bose Surround sound system, HD satellite TV, internet Wi-Fi, free calls to most international lines. This villa is the ideal place for full comfort holidays with your family!
We provide fresh bed linens and bath towels. The beds are made shortly before your arrival. Weekly housekeeping is included, as well as complete cleaning after your departure. You will find toiletries in the bathrooms and a welcome basket with a selection of teas and coffees in the kitchen. The villa is located in a very residential neighbourhood of Cannes, on the hills above the city. A very peaceful cliff road leads to the house. You will be in the city centre in 5 minutes and on the beaches in 15. Cannes is a city with many faces. Everyone has heard about the capital of cinema and the more than famous Croisette with all its luxury boutiques. It is also a very charming human-sized city, very lively, where you will enjoy going for a stroll. It is such a pleasure to go shopping in the rue d'Antibes, go to the Forville covered market (every day except on Mondays), and go up to the old town (Le Suquet) via the small narrow streets. You will find many very good restaurants with their tiny terraces, taken by storm at nightfall!
Thanks to urban motorway Cannes-Grasse, three minutes away from the house, you will have access to the inland and the hinterland. Don't miss out on the old village of Mougins, where you will find several starred restaurants, Valbonne and its central square with arches, Biot and its glass factory, Grasse and the perfumeries, and Vallauris and its potters.
The house is 20 minutes away from the airport of Nice.
NEIGHBORHOOD
Cannes, the 'Jewel' in the crown of the 'Côte d'Azur' since the dawn of time, focal point for festivals throughout the world and a cultural melting pot. The city is very well located to choose as a destination for a vacation apartment rental in Cannes in order to discover the french riviera. You could not dream of a place more like paradise than Cannes. A town whose eclectic scenery has amazed even the most powerful. The Romans chose it as a place in which to settle. Also, the English chancellor, Lord Brougham, Napoleon and Cocteau and many others have all fallen in love with this vibrant, colorful town and its peaceful way of life.
The closest thing to an 'old town' is 'Le Suquet' overlooking the west end of the port. The 12th-century Tour de Mt. Chevalier, ramparts and 12th-16th-century church Notre-Dame-de-l'Espérance give a touch of medieval flavor to the city. Le Suquet area has narrow streets climbing up and around the hill, with a fine view from the top. Standing on the ancient rampart wall in front of the church, you can see east across the city, the port and the bay to the Cap de la Croisette, and to the west across the Gulf of La Napoule to the Massif de l'Estérel mountains.
