DESCRIPTION

Rue du Bac is one of the most desirable addresses not only in the 7th arrondissement but in the entire city. Used to be the route taken to transport limestone blocks which were used to construct the Louvre palace, this narrow street boasts some of the finest inner courtyards in all of Paris. It runs from the posh Bonmarché department store down to the Seine River, opening out on the Left Bank of the river directly across from the Louvre Museum.

Bac St Germaine SG9 is a 48 square meters 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment situated on the 1st French floor of an 18th century building with no lift and can comfortably host a small group of 3 adults or 2 adults plus 2 children. The apartment boasts a very quiet courtyard full of greeneries and traffic noise is virtually non-existent. A convent, as a matter of fact can be found on the far side of the building. As for security, the building has a street entrance door with a digital code and a high level security 3 point lock on apartment door.

Upon entrance, you have the bright and modern open plan living and dining room. It has two large windows that open onto the quiet courtyard making the apartment quiet as well. The beautifully lined parquet floors provide a beautiful contrast to the predominantly white-themed room. The exposed beams on the other hand add character to the apartment. For utmost convenience, you also have a lovely couch, a modern centerpiece, a large high-definition cable TV, a decorative fireplace, and other modern decors and furniture.

The dining table seats 3 people. Right next to it is the functional modern kitchen equipped with modern kitchen essentials. You have a fridge with freezer, microwave, oven, electric vitro-ceramic stove, cutleries, dishwasher and a washing machine.

The neatly stocked bedroom separated by a sliding door from the living room has a queen size bed. A pull-out sofa bed is also available in the apartment for children or extra guests. The large modern bathroom consists of a shower, a sink, and a toilet.

Outside the apartment, you have La Grande Epicerie gourmet grocery store just up the street in the Bonmarché department store complex nearby. A multitude of restaurants, cafés, bars, and food stores can also be found in the area. The Orsay Museum is only a 10 to 15 minute walk from the apartment, as is the Rodin Museum, Luxemburg Gardens, and the Louvre Museum itself.

NEIGHBORHOOD

Rue du Bac is a long and narrow street found in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. A street with so much historical and cultural significance, it is home to Paris’ most charming and peaceful inner courtyards. It provides a village-like ambience notwithstanding being on the historic center of the Left Bank.

Roughly around 5 minutes and you have St Germaine des Pres. Along the way, you’ll pass by a string of bars, cafes, restaurants, food stores, shops, and boutiques. Museums and gardens are also within easy walk. In terms of accessibility, all modes of transportation are available. You have bus lines, subway lines and taxis almost at your fingertips. But if we could suggest, in this area, walking is never a bad idea for one who wants to get the most of the city.
