Paris in November 2025: What to Expect

October 04, 2025
The holiday season will be in full swing in Paris as early as November 2025. Apart from the fact that it will be as busy as ever, many parts of the city will unveil their Christmas decorations, lights, and various other festivities. Popular department stores will be unveiling their annual Christmas window displays as early as the first week of November, while the Champs-Élysées will host its lighting ceremony later in the month. Take it from me, November is the best time to feel excited for Christmas in Paris. You might even think it's more festive in this time of year than in December itself!

Paris in November 2025: What to Expect

How Cold is Paris in November?

The first thing I should tell you about staying in Paris this November 2025 is that it'll be pretty chilly. Since the month is in late autumn and often transitions to winter, this is usually when the city's temperature drops substantially. The average low temperature in Paris in November is about 4°C (39°F) to 8°C (46°F), which is enough to keep you bundled up when you go out. And since many of the events on this list will take place outside, I saw it as my duty to tell you that you need to trot out your chic coats, jackets, boots, and more.

See International Artists Live in Paris

I love going to concerts in Paris, and I love it even more that there's always at least one international artist performing in the city each month. Naturally, November 2025 will be no different. I'm particularly most excited about Lady Gaga, who's bringing her “Mayhem” tour to the Accor Arena in the 12th arrondissement from November 17 to 22, 2025. The album is one of my faves of hers, and I can't wait to see and hear her perform them live! Bensoon Boone fans will also be happy to know that the singer-songwriter will also take to the stage at the Accor Arena on November 13, 2025.

Celebrate Toussaint in Paris

For those who don't know, “Toussaint” refers to All Saints' Day in France, which is held every November 1st, the same as the rest of the world. Having lived here for quite some time now, I noticed that this is one of the very few religious holidays that Parisians still take fairly seriously. Perhaps it's more for commemorating their departed loved ones instead of fulfilling any Catholic duty. Many of my friends have even invited me on their trips to the cemeteries in Paris, and gave me a glimpse of how the French celebrate this global holiday.

Check Out The Christmas Window Displays

Another holiday Paris takes very seriously is Christmas! You can tell from how early the city starts its festivities, especially the famous department stores. The likes of Galeries Lafayette, Le Bon Marché, Le BHV Marais, and more start unveiling their annual Christmas window displays as early as mid-November. They even put on ceremonies for them, which are now called “Les Vitrines de Noël,” and invite all sorts of people from the city and beyond. This year, Le BHV Marais kicks it off with their unveiling on November 6, 2025, at 17:00 (5:00) pm.

When: Begins on November 6, 2025

Experience an “Enchanted Christmas” in Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris joins the city's department stores in beginning their holiday festivities as early as the first week of November. The theme park's annual “Enchanted Christmas” festival will start on November 8, 2025, the first Saturday of the month. This is when Disneyland Paris piles on the holiday cheer, from the holly and fairy lights strewn throughout the park to the various characters in their gay Christmas apparel. Christmas carols are also played throughout the park, especially when they put on their spectacular holiday parades. I've experienced “Enchanted Christmas” myself for a couple of years now, and it's always a good time!

When: Begins on November 8, 2025

Expect The Christmas Markets to Open

What I'm most excited about spending November 2025 in Paris is seeing all the Christmas markets pop up! They've always been my favorite part of spending Christmas in Paris, and I love that they often begin as early as mid-November. This year, the La Defense Christmas Market kicks the holiday season off by opening on November 13, 2025. The Tuileries Garden Christmas Market then follows suit on November 15, 2025, while the Saint-Germain Christmas Market begins on November 25, 2025. I usually get most of my Christmas shopping done in many of these before December arrives.

Sing Along with the Paris Choral Society

Are you up for a more solemn musical experience in Paris this November 2025? Then you might be interested in seeing Handel's “Messiah” Sing-Along in the American Cathedral in Paris in the 8th arrondissement. The Paris Choral Society will lead this annual sing-along on November 20 and 22, 2025, the third weekend of the month. I've been to one myself five years ago, and though it's not usually my vibe, I still had a good time. I'm sure this will be a great time for families to enjoy music and spend time together as the holiday season draws near.

When:November 20 and 22, 2025

Attend the Lighting Ceremony at Champs-Élysées

Finally, don't miss the lighting ceremony at the Champs-Élysées on November 23, 2025. The avenue has the most iconic light display every Christmas, arguably even more so than the department stores' more extravagant window displays. No Christmas in Paris is complete without seeing the famous street all lit up by the fairy-lit trees. Luckily, you can see this beloved sight as early as late November, complete with a fun street party that usually follows the annual lighting ceremony. There's a DJ set, locals dancing around, food stalls, and more. It's always a good time!
